Our committee is made up of students from our uni's. You can also view our past committees to see who has led CAOS in previous years.

Meet the dedicated committee members who make the Manchester Universities' Choir and Orchestra Society possible:

  1. Eve Clark

    President (MMU Chair)

    Hey, I’m Eve! I’m in my 3rd year studying History at MMU, and I’m part of the Choir in CAOS. I’ve somehow managed to be in charge this year and I’m really looking forward to chairing the society, after being social secretary last year it’s going to be a fun challenge! If you ever need me I’m probably reading, running, cooking or seeing my friends :)

    Hi! I’m Azra and I’ve been playing the piano since I can remember. You can find me playing your line in choir, or questioning my choices to study maths and physics at university:’)

    Treasurer (MMU)

    Hello! So excited to be returning as treasurer for CAOS, and to catch up with my friends and meet new ones for another brilliant year. When I’m not losing my music or causing chaos in the string section, I sing bass and play the viola!

    Hi, I study Chemistry at UOM and this will be my 4th year in CAOS! This is the best society and I'm excited to be returning as treasurer for one more year. When I'm not singing or playing cello, you can find me knitting, cycling, watching films or going to gigs!

    Hi! I’m Aimee and this year’s general secretary! This is my second year in CAOS and my eleventh year playing the violin. When I’m not at rehearsal you can either find me listening to Oasis (yes I did go and see them) or crocheting!

    Hi! My name's Lila and I study Physiotherapy at MMU. I've been in CAOS for the past year playing cello and singing alto. I've loved being part of this community and I'm so excited to be your MMU Secretary this year!

  7. Tom Linwood

    Concert Manager

    Hey, I’m Tom, a materials Phd at UOM. I’ve played the cello for the last 17 years and been helping plan concerts since my undergraduate degree. I hope to see you at socials and the pub after rehearsal!

    Hi I’m Olive! I study Human Geography at MMU. This is my second year as social sec, I’m looking forward to planning fun socials again! CAOS is a lovely community I’ve made some great friends. When I’m not singing in the choir, I love watching films, crocheting, going to the pub and hiking.

    Hi, I’m Maddy and I play the clarinet in orchestra. I’m really looking forward to planning some fun and unique socials for everyone to get involved with! When I’m not at CAOS, you’ll probably find me in the mosh pit at a gig, in the pub, or hibernating with a book

    Hi! I'm Melissa! I've been in CAOS for 1 year. I love singing, dancing and all things social Media. Can't wait to start creating content with all you lovely people!

  11. Ryan Hutton

    Hi, I'm Ryan, one of CAOS’ percussionists by night and a teacher by day. I absolutely love music and adore playing in CAOS even more. When not playing music, I'm often found curled up with a book, watching a movie or playing video games like a sweaty little nerd.

    Choir Librarian

    Hi, I’m Paris, a second year chemistry student at UOM and this year’s choir librarian! When I’m not causing problems in the lab I can usually be found knitting or playing the guitar, but until CAOS decides it needs a classical guitarist I’ll be sticking with the choir. Super excited to be part of this year’s committee!

    Orchestra Librarian

    Hi! I’m Liv, and I’m in charge of all of orchestra’s music this year! I play the viola in orchestra (this is my second year) and I love going to the pub after rehersals! This year will I am going to be studying Earth and Planetary Science at UOM. Outside of CAOS and uni, I love kpop, video games and crafting!

    Hiiii I’m Zandi and I’m a 2nd year doing speech and language therapy at UOM I'm a soprano and also play the oboe (though not in orchestra yet.. oops😅)I love to crochet, listen to music and watch anime 🥰🥰 and if you ever have any issues or need someone to talk to I'm ur girl 😝💖

    Hey! I'm Eva and I'm doing an International Law Master's at MMU! I joined CAOS last year as a member and have stepped up as the new members rep this year! If I'm not singing in CAOS, I'm usually reading, playing games or drinking bubble tea!
