Spring Concert 2015
This special concert marked the farewell performance of Sarah Chan, who served as CAOS's choir conductor from 2006 to 2015. The programme celebrated English music (with an honorary English composer, Handel) and featured the choir performing a selection of shorter works, concluding with Tallis's "If Ye Love Me" - a personal favourite of Sarah's chosen as her farewell piece.
The centrepiece was Vaughan Williams's monumental "A London Symphony" - a work that holds special significance for CAOS, as Vaughan Williams himself composed the CAOS Anthem. The concert was recorded at St. Paul's church in Withington, whose distinctive acoustic character is particularly noticeable in the orchestral recordings.
